Scan 87 - Winner of Red dot design award 2022
We are extremely proud to present yet another Scan stove, the newcomer Scan 87, has received the Red Dot Award: Product design 2022!

Scan 87 is the newest addition to the Scan stove family and has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2022 in the product design category. We are very honoured and pleased that Scan 87 was chosen by the renowned jury and such a great acknowledgement of our design work.
Scan stoves = danish design
The newly developed Scan 87 is a collaboration between Scan Stoves and danish product designer Niels Kjeldsen Design. The result show the importance of a close teamwork between designers, product developers and last but not least the all the skilled people who have made this stove physically coming to life.
I worked a lot on the transision between the stove and the floor, its angled edges at the top and with the many dividing lines on the stove's surface.

Sometimes you want go “all in”. Scan 87 is a large stove that gives you lots of heat, a heavy and solid impression and becomes the natural focus of the room.
The gaze is naturally drawn to the eye-catching glass lifting door that presents the flames in a bright combustion chamber with 160 degree vision. The distinct, curved joints in the construction and the smoke colored glass details; with the cool glass handle and the rounded ash lip, offer design and functionality fused together.
